Have you heard the buzz? The City of Westover, WV is proud to say that we are a Bee City USA! This means that we, as a city, made a promise to sustain pollinators, in particular the more than 3,600 species of native bees in this country (over 100 in West Virginia), by increasing the abundance of native plants, providing nest sites, and reducing the use of pesticides.

As a part of our ongoing commitment to Bee City USA and to the City of Westover, on March 26, 2023 we will be kicking off our first project of the year- the annual Westover Pollinator Triangle and City Park upkeep project and we want you to be involved! From donations, to social media shout-outs, to coming out to help the cause for a few hours, there’s nothing too small to show your support for Bee City USA!
